May 27, 2004 was the 82nd ABN DIV Review and Change of Command during All American Week. This year's All American Week, a week of events, sports and celebration of the division, was particularly special becuase last year there was none..... the 82nd was in either Afghanistan or Iraq, so it was cancelled. This year there was a pride resident from a job well done on the war on terrorism, which really added to the festivities. On May 27, the 82nd commanding general, MAJ GEN Swannack, passed the 82nd torch to incoming commander, MAJ GEN Caldwell. The commanders, plus a dignitary or two (Sec. of US Army Less Brownlee, etc.) drive by the thousands of 82nd troops on Pike Field for the inspection. It's a wonderful event and a chance to see the 82nd (including SFC Proctor!) in all their splendor. Please enjoy these photos below of the event.
