Text Box: You bet I can feel it! Some people are just born with the gift of melody and Johnny is definitely one of them.

On its own that gift isn't enough - thankfully Johnny also has the ability to weave melody and sublime harmonies with joy and commitment that is reflected in his performance.
The Beach Boys thing goes without saying, but there are other influences poking through here too... shades of long-lost 70s group Vanity Fair's "Early In The Morning" plus an oriental flavour to the instrumental bridge, a pentatonic passage harmonised in perfect fourths (Toonspeak for Chinese, generally).
Although the style is a direct and acknowledged homage to Brian Wilson's, I think Johnny's musicality and sheer talent stand up just fine in their own right - and to me there is a distinct voice of Johnny's own that is just shining through. Can't wait to hear more from Mr Proctor.

Outstanding Sound!
I LOVE the VOCALS!!!! Outstanding! This is a knock off of the oldies and you've mastered the sound which is a very hard feat. (I know, I try) The beat is a definite dance tune and the melody makes you tap your foot.. which is good! The mix is obviously done by someone who is a natural at what he (she) does. The production is also way up there. I must mention that I really enjoyed the lyrics and for that matter...
the whole darn song. Excellent job guys!

Take me back anytime...
Retro 60's folk anthem amazingly performed in style and production of the era. Brian Wilson inspired harmonies over strong lead vocal reminiscent of Mamas and Papas. Lilting guitars (Rickenbackers, very likely) chime with verb and tremelo and flow over beautiful complex background arrangements, and spot on delivery. More than just a "lost track" that effuses nostalgia, this is an affirmation that new songs can be crafted in the vingage soundscapes of the classic age. This simple but revolutionary idea is welcome to this reviewer as there aren't any more songs coming from that time...until now. I love it.

Text Box: “I've Done Alright”:  Hook, hook, hook!  What a great hook!!!  This one could have been #1 in 1965!  Paul Revere and the Raiders?????  Excellent.  I love this track.  Very strong, very melodic, great production.  And that hook!! -Gary Ng

Hi John!  My name is Lil. :))

First impressions: Wow! Roller Coaster of the songs.  I'm surprised you are even on NumberoneMusic. You should be out there!  One hell of a first impression. You've plundered long and deep here. Nothing samey and not repetitive at all. This is seriously catchy stuff. What more can I say, those songs are just really good. Gets me in a good mood! And the vocals are perfect.

Very good...playlist time!  -Lil Traskman Bendz
